Action-packed half-term activities are hard to find. ‘Titania’s Dream’ in Fulham Palace may prove to be the solution
An interactive theatrical experience
Like the idea of half-term activities involving Shakespeare, fun and fairies over half-term? ‘Titania’s Dream’, on the grounds of Fulham Palace, offers an outdoor, interactive theatrical experience for all the family. William Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ inspires this wonderful event. Eaton House The Manor Boys Prep School Year 5, have already booked a school trip there. It is suitable for all ages.

Find the fairies in Fulham Palace
This small-group experience introduces audiences to Shakespeare in an accessible and playful way. It makes most of the beautiful riverside gardens of Fulham Palace. It is a family experience like no other where everyone can enjoy exploring and looking for Titania, Bottom and all the characters in this play.
Half-term activities
Half-term activities can prove too short or limited in scope, but this adventure will take up a whole morning. Afterwards, you might enjoy lunch at local riverside eateries such as Sam’s Riverside or the River Cafe. During a 50-minute guided trial, audiences will search for hidden fairies. They will also find out about wild plants and flowers while helping Titania, Shakespeare’s Queen of the Fairies.
We all enjoy activities that embrace the power of storytelling and recognise the importance of the outdoors and human connections. The experience is designed to take place in a natural landscape. This means that, at times, visitors will be invited to leave the paved path and walk on the grass amongst plants and trees.
Details and dates
The event runs from 20 May – 6 June. It is suitable for all ages. Ticket prices: £21 (adults); £15.50 (children 12-3); free entry (children 3, and under). There are helpful rules for parents about the event on the website, including photography management. Selected performance slots are available for block booking.
As a half-term event, ‘Titania’s Dream’ is suitable for group events, birthday celebrations and other special occasions. It is an open-air experience that runs regardless of weather, but parents are advised to check the weather forecast on the day of visit and dress accordingly. It is also worth noting that surfaces on these areas are uneven and muddy in wet weather. They are therefore not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies or mobility scooters.
